Voice of the Learner

School Council

Ysgol Tryfan School Council ensures that the voice of the learner is heard and influences all aspects of school life. The Council has a representation of learners from each school year and is led by students from the 6th form. The School Council also informs the Governiong Body on a termly basis through our Pupil Governors.

The School Council is reinforced by a network of sub-committees that focus on key strategic priorities, ensuring that the voice of the learners of Ysgol Tryfan influences the school’s main priorities.

Llais y Dysgwr

Wales Youth Parliament

BrengainThis year four pupils from Ysgol Tryfan decided to take part in the exciting new democratic process by the Welsh Government and stand to represent Arfon in the Wales Youth Parliament elections.

We are extremely pleased to announce that Brengain Glyn Williams is now the area's representative in the National Parliament. Brengain will now be campaigning on the issues that matter to the young people of Arfon and promoting their voice on a national scale. Congratulations to you Brengain and best wishes to you.

Brengain will work closely with the Ysgol Tryfan School Council to link a local school voice with the national issues.

Indeed Brengain was the first member ever to speak at the Youth Parliament! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beUYO1NP2Tw
