A Word of Welcome
Ysgol Tryfan is a 11-18 year old secondary school in the city of Bangor, which teaches the vast majority of subjects through the medium of Welsh. We take pride in developing the children and young adults of Bangor and the surrounding area to be fully bilingual citizens .
Our goal as a school is to ensure that all the pupils and students who come to us fulfill their potential and leave us as ethical, informed and respectful citizens with the skills to contribute fully to the twenty-first century society.
Our team of teachers and support staff at Ysgol Tryfan are dedicated to making a difference to the lives of the pupils in our care, and we offer a wide, varied and challenging curriculum throughout all key stages. Our pupils engage with a range of extra-curricular activities in order to develop their wider interests and enrich their lives. We believe that every pupil in the school has tremendous potential and we work passionately to nurture these talents. At Ysgol Tryfan we always aim ‘to support, to inspire – as one family'.
We are proud of the school's consistently high academic standards and at the same time, as a small school, we ensure that the best possible care is given, allowing every individual to flourish and feel safe.
I am very proud to be the headteacher at Ysgol Tryfan, working with a dedicated team of staff, pupils and parents. This collaboration is essential to create the positive environment which will allow us to realise our vision as a school where every one is learning.
Thank you very much for your support for the school.
